**Bookkeeping Lead**

Welcome to Enkel We partner with our clients to provide timely, accurate accounting and reporting. We are looking for a bookkeeping enthusiast who gets excited about diving into files to ensure quality standards while managing a team of bookkeepers.

**What are we looking for?**
- Confident bookkeepers who have an interest in quality assurance and the review process.
- Self-led individuals who are results-driven and are motivated to problem-solve
- Full understanding of the Canadian bookkeeping process and has a passion for enabling team members for growth.
- Non-Profit experience is helpful, but not mandatory.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Perform Internal Quality Audits to ensure compliance and quality reports.
- Mentor and enable a team of bookkeepers
- Oversee sales tax compliance and remittances
- Maintain quality relationships with our clientele via frequent and timely communication.
- Identify areas of process improvement and implementation of changes through team enablement and process documentation.

**What You Bring**:

- 4+ years of progressive bookkeeping experience
- Post-secondary education from a recognized institution
- Experience with full-cycle bookkeeping and the year-end process
- Proficient in accounting software, such as Xero, Quickbooks, and Quickbooks Online
- Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office Suite and Google Documents
- Experience overseeing and reviewing the work of junior associates
