Manager, Operational Excellence
The Manager, Operational Excellence will focus on identifying areas of the business where improvements can be made to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance. They will work closely with you and other members of the senior leadership team to implement new processes, systems, and procedures that will help the business run more smoothly and effectively.
The Manager, Operational Excellence ensures proper support is provided across all areas of the business and internally to cross-functional teams. In addition, this role includes assisting with budget management, retail reporting and overseeing/supporting retail initiatives to drive revenue growth, optimize expenses, increase productivity, elevate the guest experience, and execute flawlessly.
The Manager, Operational Excellence, is also required to communicate and initiate the implementation of innovative programs and processes to store level management and employees and ensure that rules and regulations are observed by all employees.
Job Duties
- Monitor the daily operations activities for operations.
- Collaborate with Learning & Development to establish and implement employee training programs and ensure that all staff are knowledgeable about company policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures across all stores to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.
- Work closely with operations management to train employees on new procedures and ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Review monthly budgets for operational expenses, such as labor and supplies to ensure that costs are in line with company goals.
- to ensure progress is being made, and that corrective action is taken if necessary.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Meet regularly with department heads/business unit leaders to facilitate resolution of issues/problems.
- Manage morale by setting and demonstrating a strong business ethic for dealing with employees, suppliers, and customers.
- Assist leaders with audit activities and consolidate information for review by SR. Leadership.
- Lead cross-functional teams to address operational challenges and implement solutions that improve efficiency and profitability.
- Participate in planning and lead execution of projects related to operational support.
- Maintain knowledge and understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to operational support.
- Develop and maintain relationships with third-party service providers and vendors who provide support services to the organization.
- Monitor, analyze and report on industry trends.
- Monitor and assist with uniform inventory and distribution for all retail team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist and provide direction for Visual Merchandising activities in store.
- Assist with Franchise activities.
- Perform other duties as required.
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary degree or relevant equivalent work experience
- Relevant experience in retail operations and retail support.
- Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on operations and business processes.
- Highly analytical, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and areas of opportunity through data analysis.
- Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles.
- A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization.
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop creative solutions to address them.
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
