This is a full-time position based at our Saskatoon Head Office with a Monday to Friday (08:00 am - 04:30 pm) schedule.

As part of the Finance Team, the **Accounts Payable Clerk** is responsible for the accounts payable function including the accurate and timely processing of invoices and expense reports and communicating with vendors as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process vendor invoices and employee expenses accurately and on time, following company policies.
- Use the three-way matching process in the ERP system to verify purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
- Resolve discrepancies in purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and payments.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues.
- Coordinate with procurement and internal teams to confirm goods and services were received, verify correct coding, and resolve invoice issues
- Maintain accurate vendor data, including contacts, tax info, and payment terms.
- Organize and store records for audit and compliance.
- Support with month-end and year-end reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
- Recommend improvements to accounts payable processes.
- Prepare and distribute accounts payable reports as requested.
- Support the accounting team with other tasks and projects as assigned.

**Job Qualifications and Skills**:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounts payable or similar role, mining experience considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Accounting is required (diploma or certificate); a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Enrollment in or completion of CPA preparatory courses is considered an asset.
- Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Pronto); ERP training or certification is considered an asset.
- Experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including month-end accruals, accounts payable procedures, and financial analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical and mathematical abilities, with strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for vendor relations, business correspondence, and cross-functional collaboration.

**Compensation and Benefits**:
We offer a competitive starting salary range of $60,000 - $70,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
