**Accounting Clerk—Intermediate**

**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- General bank account transactions (cheque requisitions, money movement (deposits and returned items), adjustments, etc.)
- All bank account reconciliation preparation for review & approval
- Enter daily PADs
- Back up & cross-training for Trust Accounting Clerk, Accounting Clerk, Accounting Manager and Director of Accounting as needed (and as appropriate)
- “Workflow” management (process requests from staff and lawyers, reverse accounts, reopen matters, correct time entries, change timekeepers, etc.)
- E-Billing and other large account billing (i.e. U-Haul, Wawanesa, etc.)
- Ad hoc accounting projects (reconciling GL accounts, bank accounts, schedules, journal entries, etc.)
- Weekly & monthly reporting requests (scheduled and ad hoc)
- Opening new matters, clients, and conflict searches
- Research, documentation and implementation of process improvement and current processes
- Other duties and tasks as assigned
**Experience**
- Previous experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar role within the financial services industry is preferred
- Familiarity with accounting software (experience with 3E or other professional service software programs is considered an asset)
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail are required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
**Hours of Work**
- Full-time, in-office position: Monday to Friday, 7-hour workday
- Flexible start times
- Overtime work may be required from time to time.

- Salary commensurate with experience level and demonstrated abilities.
