Equipment Operator I

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform manual labour, such as cutting grass, painting, cleaning equipment etc.
- Assemble and disassemble basic equipment for repair and maintenance.
- Maintain all M.D. baseball diamonds.
- Assist with installing boat docks and swimming platforms.
- Assist with playground maintenance and inspections.
- Plant trees within the M.D. Parks.
- Operate equipment (pick-up trucks, quads, weed trimmers, zero turn lawn mowers, push mowers, etc.) as required.
- Build and paint picnic tables.
- Clean and sanitize campground outhouses as required.
- Tow utility trailers carrying light equipment to assigned jobs.
- Remove trees and brush clean up on M.D. trails and parks as required.
- Perform other duties within the scope of the position as required.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision or in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license in good standing.
