Strategic Development Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Identify key markets and specific business opportunities for growth
- Perform market research to establish market size, gaps and competitive landscape
- Articulate product and service requirements to obtain share and profitability
- Work with internal stakeholders in Strategic Supply, Operations, Engineering, Quality and EHS to identify resource and capability gaps
- Build comprehensive business cases, including P&L and CapEx components
- Establish criteria for evaluating multiple opportunities
- Select best opportunities and make recommendations to Nordion and Sotera senior stakeholders
- Identify relevant M&A opportunities and/or strategic partnership opportunities
- Conducting due diligence evaluations
- Work with Sotera Health Corporate Development for overall SHC strategic alignment, and on specific M&A initiatives
- Helping to shape Value Creation Plans and Integration Plans post-acquisition or partnership

**Qualifications**:

- A graduate engineering, life sciences or other technical degree, as well as an MBA
- Minimum 5 years experience in strategic planning and/or corporate development
- Experience with M&A would be an asset
- Familiarity with the nuclear, healthcare industries would be an asset
