Head of HR Strategic Planning Join us at Giant Tiger as the Head of HR Strategic Planning. We’re a Canadian institution built on 60+ years of success, focused on helping Canadians save more every day. About the Role Location: 2480 Walkley Road, Ottawa, Ontario, K1G 6A9. This hybrid role requires 2 days onsite per week at the Ottawa Head Office; the remainder can be remote. What You’ll Be Doing Develop and align a long‑term HR operational plan with business strategy, ensuring stakeholder understanding, success metrics, and execution. Lead employee engagement initiatives, embed a culture that values engagement, analyse data, integrate feedback, and refine programs. Drive HR change management by creating a framework, securing stakeholder engagement, allocating resources, and communicating effectively. Oversee strategic HR projects from conception to completion, managing budgets, resources, risk, and milestones. Implement the HR Shared Services model as part of short‑term strategic HR project management. What You’ll Bring Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certifications (CHRP, CHRL) are a plus. 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least five years leading a high‑performing HR team. Strong knowledge of project management and planning best practices. Demonstrated leadership, influencing change and acting as a thought leader. Experience with HRIS, notably Workday. Experience in change management, program design, and rollout plans. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $137,300.00 – $187,300.00 Short‑Term Incentive Plan: Bonus – 30% of annual base salary. Long‑Term Incentive Plan: Stock – 35% of annual base salary. Health and dental benefits, retirement savings support, paid time off, and additional packages tailored for permanent team members.
