**Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine carpentry requirements
- Calculate the amount and type of materials needed for each project and ensure the timely delivery of materials
- Use measuring tools to prepare layouts and ensure that they meet building codes and regulations
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to form structures or frameworks, such as walls, roofs, floors, and decks
- Install windows, doors, staircases, cabinets, and other fixtures according to specifications
- Manage a team of carpenters and apprentices, providing guidance, training, and direction as needed
- Plan and schedule work, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and timelines
- Conduct quality checks to ensure that carpentry work meets quality standards
- Communicate effectively with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project success
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman certification in carpentry preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the carpentry field
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Proficient in using hand and power tools and measuring equipment
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Ability to calculate material quantities and costs accurately
- Experience in managing teams and projects
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform carpentry tasks
