**The Opportunity**

We are currently looking to fill a full-time 35 hours per week, permanent Rehabilitation Services Coordinator role in Winnipeg, Manitoba Region. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.

Wage is $28.43 hourly.

**Duties include the following**:

- Effectively manages and approves program resources, human and financial needs to meet program goals and objectives
- Recruits, employs, trains, supervises and evaluates support service staff, within a pre-determined budget in accordance with the approved program plans.
- To coordinate the assessment development, implementation of individual rehabilitation plans with assigned staff.
- Monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
- Participates as a member of community support services administration team in planning, problem resolution, mediation, quality improvement and review of service delivery performance.
- Managing client files in accordance with policy
- Acts as a resource to staff and families in the provision of long-term support and service coordination for complex cases to enable adults with brain injuries to remain in their community.
- Drafting and maintaining client progress reports with attention to detail and deadlines
- Participates on community committees where appropriate.
- Coordinating and leading meetings as required
- Acts as a staff resource to support activities of Community Support Supervisor
- Potential for hybrid work model
- Ability to travel regularly between MODC programs and the community of Winnipeg, Manitoba
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Compensated On-call on a rotational basis

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- 2 - 5 years’ experience in the Social Services/Health Sector
- Experience with coordinating services for individuals with brain injury is an asset.
- Concrete knowledge of the effects of a brain injury
- Community based experience working with individuals with a brain injury, physical disabilities or special needs
- Demonstrated experience supervising or leading teams
- Working knowledge of third-party funders and corresponding legislation.
- Highly organized and excellent time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and train employees to include organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work assignments
- Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Skills in fiscal management
- Knowledge of human resource practices
- Knowledge of behaviour management principles
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- General understanding of computer software including Microsoft Office
- Strong ability to assess and determine effective compensatory strategies for individuals with brain injuries
