**Job Summary**:
The Warehouse Shipper / Receiver plays an integral role in the function of The Big Carrot Warehouse with special regard to the busiest operational times during the week. The Receiver insures accuracy of shipments, proper storage of materials, maintenance of inventory logs, and preparing merchandise for shipment, all while working safely within operational and health & safety policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receives and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments.
- Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or in pallets according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, product code, etc. Marks materials with identifying information if applicable.
- Prepares merchandise for shipment, such as building stable pallets of picked product
- Maintains accurate inventory records through the use of a manual and/or computerized inventory system.
- Informs manager when equipment and / or machinery needs servicing.
- Utilizes material handling equipment, such as forklifts.
- Maintain accurate inventory count, perform ‘end of day’ inventory count and submit reports to management.
- Assist with the delivery of cargo if necessary.
- Assists with truck-loading.
- Assist cold press juice staff regularly with a minimum of 1 hour per shift. Tasks include but are not limited to: labelling bottles, receiving fresh produce, and inspecting the quality of fresh produce received.
- Keyholder responsible for occasionally opening and securely closing the warehouse
- Adhere to all company policies & procedures and health & safety policies when the above responsibilities are performed
- All other job-related tasks deemed necessary by the Warehouse Manager.

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**:

- High school diploma an asset but not a requirement.
- Ability to work independently and thoroughly
- Flexibility of schedule.
- Previous experience of working with pump truck and towmotor an asset.
