Heavy Equipment Operator

The Heavy Equipment Operation position at All Ontario Recycling is an exciting and dynamic position for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment in widely varying environments and enjoys working with heavy machinery. This individual referred to as the operator moving forward will find themselves working in multiple job sites all over Ontario including, but not inclusive to the two All Ontario Recycling Yards in Barrie and Port Sydney.
The operator will need to operate one or a multitude of machines which could include: Shear, bailer, loader or as a material handler.
Based on the current jobs at hand, the location of work will be at one of our three location, Barrie, Collingwood or Port Sydney. There is also the potential for on the road work where the successful applicant maybe required to work elsewhere. In that instance, accommodations will be provided such hotel and lodging.
**Responsibilities**:
- Review Daily Checklists for all Equipment Daily
- Work with the team in the yard as per production requirement to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow All Safety and Fire Regulations as set forth by All Ontario Recycling in our own yards and onsite.
- Operate the equipment as per AOR standards
- Coordinate with dispatch as well as managers in the event of discrepancies or reporting concerns
- Load trucks by working with grounds crew and truck drivers to fill trailers.
- Document weight loads and provide load tickets to drivers and customers to keep them informed of loads being shipped - when required
- Responsible for the health and safety of all team members and customers onsite and within working areas
- Establish positioning of equipment for efficiency onsite on arrival at yards
- Communicate and coordinate with dispatch and sales to orchestrate equipment moves from yard to yard. (as required)
- Responsible to minor maintenance and greasing of equipment daily as per AOR standards.
**Requirements**:
- Heavy Equipment Driver Experience (Please indicate years of experience)
- Must Have a Valid G Drivers License
- Potential to be on the road away from home Monday to Friday
*Note, hourly rate may also differ depending on applicants skills and knowledge.*
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 44 per week
