Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis

**The Role**:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager will work closely with management to increase the company’s efficiency and profitability by providing budget and cash forecasts, projections, modeling, and financial results with analysis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning process
- Lead the development of the annual budget and prepare financial analysis including budget to actual variance and forecasting (including cash)
- Produce models to project long term growth and determine the impacts
- Prepare various month-end financial reports to Management/Shareholders/Board with variance analysis
- Work with management to provide and update the budget and cash flow forecast on a regular basis
- Analyze financial and operational results to better understand company performance
- Communicate to management the reasons for department performance and results
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls and improve efficiency
- Support decision-making by providing stakeholders with timely, detailed, and meaningful insights and visibility on business performance
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization
- Assist with external and internal audits

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
- Excellent technology skills with advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Google Sheets, and the ability to troubleshoot minor computer issues
- Superior skills in working with numbers and data
- Advanced financial modeling experience
- Ability to complete work in a timely manner, with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven, and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Analytic and critical thinking capability, with strong attention to detail; ability to tackle complex problems and break them down into simpler and easier to achieve targets
- Good judgment and ability to prioritize tasks/assignments
- Strong project management skills, manage competing priorities
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during high-volume periods

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with extensive budgeting, forecasting, and reporting experience
- CPA or relevant accounting designation preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including advanced knowledge of Excel
- Advanced financial modeling experience
- High sense of urgency in providing a strong level of service and follow-through
- Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
- Prior experience in M&A activity or integration of acquisitions (specifically relating to FP&A) would be an asset
- Superior written and oral communication skills
- Experience developing financial reports and metrics
- Excellent teamwork skills and collaborative nature
