LandSolutions currently have a contract opportunity for a **Surface Land Agent** to support our business in **Edmonton, Alberta**. The Surface Land Agent will report to the Regional Land Manager, NW Alberta & NE BC.

**The Role**

The Surface Land Agent will conduct field work in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and standards, and LandSolutions operating principles. This role includes communication with clients and extensive communication with Admin Staff, Project Coordinators and/or Management, while ensuring timelines are met and field files are accurate.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Land acquisition and stakeholder engagement activities, including but not limited to, Surface Leases, Right of Ways, Damages Releases and Reviews
- Engagement with Indigenous groups, residents, and local authorities
- Construction liaison support

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Surface Land Agent (other work experience or education may be credited)
- Experience or familiarity with agriculture, construction, environmental issues, public relations, and public awareness
- Knowledge of applicable acts, guides, and regulations
- 2 years post-secondary diploma in a related field
- Alberta Land Agent's License
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid Commissioner of Oaths within the Province of Alberta
- Resides in the Edmonton Area or willing to relocate there
- Daily use of personal computer and vehicle
