**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:
**Role**:
We are seeking a talented Automation Technician to join our Automation Engineering team. In this role you will work closely with manufacturing and automation engineers to deploy improved manufacturing/assembly processes into the production environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Build and deploy automated assembly equipment/work cell structures for production processes.
- Lead the electrical panel builds and installations for automated systems.
- Support automation engineers on programming needs for PLCs, HMIs, servos, universal robots etc.
- Contribute to the mechanical and control system designs for these systems.
- Support the maintenance team in troubleshooting activities associated with automation, electrical and safety systems for production equipment.
- Contribute to the training documentation for new processes/equipment.
- Assist in training production and maintenance personnel to run and maintain the equipment.
- Support new process/equipment introduction and handover activities for production.

**WHO YOU ARE**:
**Basic Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electro/Mechanical Technology, or Industrial Engineering
- 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a manual to semi-automated production setting

**Preferred** **Qualifications**:

- Experience building and developing automated processes
- Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing industrial machinery

**Skills**:

- Demonstrated strong analytical and communication skills
- Excellent teamwork required for a cross functional setting
