**Digital Content Creator**

**Summary**

**Wage: $18/hour**

**35hours/week**

**6 month contract**

The Digital Content Creator for Homer Watson House & Gallery is an experienced communicator who is able to reimagine the possibilities for amplifying the vision and mission of the organization, create multiple entries for engagement, and build community through all our digital channels. Working collaboratively with local artists, the Digital Content Creator is responsible for planning, recording and distributing digital content for children and adults in the HWHG community. This position requires a passion for art, creativity, proficiency with technology and an interest in supporting Homer Watson House & Gallery deliver an engaging and fun online presents. Experience working with children is an asset.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Prepare, execute and edit weekly video, audio and image material to develop impactful finished content for HWHG website and social media channels.
- Track, report, and interpret key metrics and analytics for all digital initiatives.
- Work closely with the Public Programs and Education Coordinator to creatively and strategically build HWHG’s community through active social listening and engagement with our online community across platforms to enhance awareness and participation.
- Have a keen ability to keep up to date on current themes and issues.
- Share the HWHG’s voice with rigor, agency, and authenticity.
- Maintaining studio material, equipment, and environment.

**Who we're looking for**

To be fantastic in this role you:

- have a minimum of 1-2 years of professional-level experience, with demonstrated interest in museums, galleries or nonprofits.
- Are an inspirational communicator with excellent writing skills; a strong sense of storytelling, ability to connect with a wide variety of communities.
- Have a proven track record of growing audiences through multiple digital platforms.
- Have an understanding of practices used to make digital content more accessible for people who use digital assistive technologies
- for example, familiarity with Alt Text and image description.
- Think outside the box, build and cultivate community throughthoughtful engagement.
- Are highly organized and detailed. Ability to multi-task multiple projects and timelines, operate against objectives, and meet deadlines.
- Are energetic and enthusiastic, comfortable with both the creative and administrative aspects of the role.
- Have a background and interest in Fine Arts, Education or related.
- Are proficient in recording and editing videos.
- Have or are willing to obtain a Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
