**Manager, Adult Services (Sherwood Park Day Services & Employment)** The Robin Hood Association is a non-profit organization that helps people with disabilities to "Live, Work and Play". It is now one of the largest non-profit organizations supporting disable individuals in Alberta. **Hours**:Permanent Full-Time, Monday - Friday 40 hours/week flex _(Day, evening and / or weekend flex support required as per program needs)_ - We are looking for the right person to join our team as Manager, Adult Services (Fort Saskatchewan). This position will report to the Director, Adult Services. This position provides operational leadership for Overnight home support, Supported Independent Living, Employment Preparation, Employment Placement and Day Services (Community Access) services in the City of Fort Saskatchewan. While there may be some direct service contact dealing with service coordination issues, the role is primarily operational oversight. Key aspects of the role include the development and implementation of process guidelines, service monitoring / evaluation, service delivery coordination and intervention, budget responsibilities and acting as a community liaison. **Skills and Abilities**: - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook). - Well-developed communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to work with a variety of people in a team environment, coupled with excellent diplomacy skills. - Attention to detail, strong adherence to process, strong tracking and follow through on workflows is essential. - Prior experience in a high-volume/fast paced environment, along with an above-average attendance record. A high commitment to meeting outcomes and deadlines is required. - Positive attitude and mature work ethic coupled with an ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to motivate and coach partners. - An aptitude to analyze data, and conduct assessments and inspections. - Must have a valid driver’s license and consistent access to a vehicle. **Qualifications**: - Rehabilitation Diploma or related University Degree is preferred. - 2 years of direct experience in Rehabilitation Services, human services or specific experience. - Experience working with people who have developmental disabilities. - Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is preferred. - Other combination of education and experience may be considered. - Valid Alberta Driver’s License, access to a reliable and road-safe vehicle and proof of 3rd Party Liability Insurance in the amount of no less than $1,000,000. The ability to transport individuals in a personal vehicle may be required in some locations. - Effective writing and oral communication skills. - Demonstrated willingness to learn new concepts; be open to change; provide feedback and work as an effective team player. - Knowledge and skills in basic budgeting. - Knowledge of team building strategies and good conflict management skills. - Demonstration of enhanced and effective coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to employ various approaches. Supervisory Skills Training is preferred. - Completion of Mandatory Training Courses and Designated Mandatory Training as required. - Effective communication skills. - Effective time management skills and the ability to balance competing demands/priorities and deal with competing opinions. This includes knowing when it is appropriate to ask for assistance or refer to more experienced staff. - The ability to work various shift schedules and in physically/emotionally challenging situations, if required. - Positive attitude and mature work ethic coupled with an ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Ability to set priorities and complete tasks in a timely fashion. **Responsibilities**: - Understand and practice all RHA Policies and Procedures, practices and operational protocols, including purpose statements, ethical standards and guidelines, restrictive procedures, abuse and medical protocols, Alberta Accommodation Standards, Alberta Health Services standards, Municipal Fire Standards, Occupational Health & Safety standards, and Creating Excellence Together (CET) Standards and Accreditation. - Directly supervise Team Leaders or other supervisory staff, and indirectly supervise regular/relief staff, practicum students and volunteers. - Lead and participate in the development of operational and service delivery plans and budgets relative to a particular service area or group of related services, in accordance with Robin Hood’s strategic mandate and priorities. - Preparing, in collaboration with others as appropriate, operational procedures and guidelines, communication plans, implementation/initiation strategies; this includes ensuring that accreditation standards are met. - Ensuring that service evaluation criteria are developed and communicated effectively, and that services are monitored, evaluated and managed in a manner that optimizes opportunities for the i
