**Responsibilities**
- Provide high quality care to Hillside Veterinary Clinic’s customers and employees
- Help fellow team mates with appointments, restraint, calls and procedures
- Communicate with customers and answer questions on day to day care of their pets
- Maintain strong customer relationships and communicate frequently with customers and staff
- Work closely with other team members to provide prompt and accurate information to the veterinarian
- Other duties as assigned by management
**Education & Experience**
- Veterinary experience required
- Ability to work well in a team environment with a variety of personalities
- Strong communication skills required; must be comfortable talking with customers and answering questions about our products, services, and policies
- Hillside Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time veterinary assistant to join our team. This position will be responsible for answering the phone, greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and performing administrative duties along with helping other team members in appointments and procedures both in and out of the appointment room
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a related field is preferred
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Professional demeanor and appearance
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
**Essential Duties**:
- Answering the phone in a professional manner in a timely manner in accordance with company policy.
- Greeting clients in a professional manner in a timely manner in accordance with company policy.
- Keeping accurate records of patient information and scheduling appointments.
- Entering data into computer system.
- Performing receptionist duties such as greeting visitors, answering calls, and directing them when appropriate.
- Performing other office duties including filing, copying, binding, scanning, and other tasks as assigned.
- Restraint on multiple species including felines, canines, small exotics and avian
- knowledge of vaccination types, schedules and medications are an asset
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
