Position Overview

The Product Manager is primarily responsible for product management and technical services including product launches, training and support to all internal and external personnel and customers. This position will ensure products launched in Canada meet all marketing and electrical standard requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Product Development and Launch
- Launch new Hubbell products ensuring Canadian requirements are met including system requirements, pricing recommendations, electrical approvals, packaging, stocking programs and literature.
- Propose and support new product opportunities through the use of business plans, NPD process, and VOC surveys and input.
- Develop and maintain good relations with Hubbell US marketing counterparts and and participate in NPD projects and meetings as required. Provide U.S. personnel with Canadian requirements for NPD.
- Respond to market place opportunities that arise from market changes such as industry codes, competitive situations, and government legislation.
- Technical Services
- Create and deliver training materials and training programs for assigned products to employees, customers, and end users.
- Generate and continually support a knowledge base for assigned products.
- Monitor product-related customer complaints and product defects and assist with developing appropriate responses and actions to product defect issues.

Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university - Business, Marketing or Engineering
- Electrical Engineering or Technologist preferred
- 3+ Years related experience and/or training in Marketing of Electrical or Construction products to a Wholesaler Channel
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills. Bilingual (French/English) would be an asset.
- Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
- Project Management: Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities
