**Job Summary**:
The Pre-Admission Clinic (PAC) and Day Surgery Unit (DSU) are within the VH Perioperative Care Portfolio. The PAC provides a comprehensive, coordinated interdisciplinary approach to health care to prepare the patient for their day of surgery. The DSU provides specialized, systematic and individualized care to Adult and Pediatric patients during the surgical preparation phase and during the Phase 2 Recovery period from elective or emergency surgery.

Reporting to the Director Surgical Care Victoria Hospital (VH), the Interim Clinical Manager, Pre-Admission Clinic and Day Surgery Units supports the implementation of the vision, mission, values and strategic plan of LHSC by providing front-line management, support and development using a focused depth of technical knowledge and broader-based operational and management expertise. The Interim Clinical Manager will play a key role on quality improvement, infection and risk prevention, and continuous education through the development and evaluation of improvement activities. The Interim Clinical Manager will strive to ensure safe, quality service delivery and exceptional patient experiences, as well as, facilitate timely patient access and flow.

The role includes accountability for day-to-day clinical and operational activities, including the management of human and material resources, day-to-day staffing and scheduling, development and support of a healthy workplace, risk and utilization measurements, and facilitation of quality improvement initiatives and change management, while operating within approved operational budgets and financial guidelines and controls.

**What You Will Bring with You**
- Successful completion of a recognized baccalaureate degree program in a health care related discipline required
- Related post-graduate education preferred
- Current Certificate of Registration from a college recognized under the Regulated Health Professions Act
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in progressively more responsible leadership roles in a healthcare environment, preferably in an acute care academic teaching hospital
- Previous clinical and/or management experience in surgery and critical care preferred
- Preference and consideration will be given to active members of the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) who have, or are in process of attaining the Canadian Health Executive (CHE) Select certification program
- Demonstrated clinical excellence experience including high quality and safe patient care and exceptional patient/family experiences
