- Degree or diploma in computer science, computer engineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years experience in a Data Analyst or related role.
- Experience with operational technology and industrial information.
- Pipeline industry experience is an asset.
- Working knowledge of various databases and data manipulation tools. Experience with ServiceNow CMDB would be an advantage.
- Experience and understanding of cyber asset and configuration information (attributes and tags) related to various OT cyber asset types such as workstations and servers (Microsoft and Linux), network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load-balancers, etc.) and industrial control systems devices (such as PLCs, RTUs IEDs, etc.) to enable you to scrutinize and validate data inputs and advise stakeholders on gaps on data input sources to maintain the CMDB.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and listening skills, enabling effective communication with clients, employees, and vendors.
- Skilled in preparing and presenting highly technical information in a format relatable to all audiences from end-users to executives.
- Ability to write technical documents/specifications.
- Strong organization, and time management skills; able to handle multiple tasks and multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, priority-changing environment.
- Working knowledge of Unix and/or Linux and Windows operating systems.
- High level of comfort using interactive tools (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Slack, One Drive, Remote Desktop) and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work both within a team, and independently with mínimal supervision.
**About the Role**
The Data Analyst works with clients to identify and execute solutions for operational technology (OT) cyber asset inventory data challenges. They gather cyber asset data from multiple sources, clean data and help clients create or update an accurate centralized database for analysis and reporting. They assist clients by building a single cyber asset data repository fed from various cyber assets sources of truth and empower them to make informed decisions about their OT assets.
Detailed duties and responsibilities include:
- Meet with client stakeholders to gather business requirements and provide status updates.
- Analyze client data sources, identify correct data where sources for the same data point conflict, and update the primary database (CMDB) with the validated data.
- Document changes in alignment with Dexcent and client change management procedures.
- Communicating key insights and findings to the client stakeholders.
- Proactively support the Dexcent safety program and initiatives; maintain compliance with all safety policies and procedures (including client site specific programs), and ensure utilization of safe work practices on client sites and in the office.
- Maintaining a positive attitude and communication style with clients, vendors and team members in all circumstances.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned by the management.
