**Job Summary**:
The Production Lead Hand plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the cannabis manufacturing floor. This individual ensures production targets are met efficiently and in compliance with Health Canada regulations, Good Production Practices (GPP), and internal SOPs. The Lead Hand oversees production staff, provides on-the-floor leadership, and ensures safety, quality, and efficiency in all production activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Production Operations**
- Support the execution of daily production schedules (e.g., trimming, drying, milling, packaging, pre-rolls).
- Monitor production lines and coordinate with team members to meet daily output goals.
- Ensure all tasks are performed according to SOPs, batch records, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment as required.

**Team Leadership**
- Provide on-the-floor direction to production technicians and operators.
- Train, coach, and mentor production staff to maintain high performance and adherence to quality standards.
- Act as a liaison between production staff and supervisors/management.
- Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance of team members; escalate issues as needed.

**Compliance & Quality Assurance**
- Ensure compliance with Health Canada regulations, GPP/GMP standards, and company SOPs.
- Maintain accurate production records, logs, and documentation.
- Identify and report any deviations, incidents, or quality concerns.

**Health & Safety**
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment; ensure use of PPE and safe work practices.
- Conduct safety checks and report hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Participate in training and emergency drills as required.

**Continuous Improvement**
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by providing feedback and suggestions.
- Support inventory management (e.g., raw materials, packaging supplies).
- Assist in audits, internal inspections, and root-cause investigations.

**Qualifications**:
**Education & Experience**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education an asset.
- 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment; cannabis industry preferred.
- Experience in a lead hand, team lead, or supervisory role is strongly preferred.

**Skills & Competencies**
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to operate manufacturing equipment safely and effectively.
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and production tracking software.

**Work Conditions**:

- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to cannabis plant material, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
