**Who you are?**

As the Lead Hand, you are responsible for the on-site preparation and follow-through of projects. You want to pursue a career in Landscape Construction and are looking to take your role to the next level by leading a crew. You are versatile and want to be involved in all stages of the construction project. You have a passion for design & build projects and grounds maintenance.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, landscaping, or property maintenance is required
- Must work well in a team environment
- Reliable person with a positive attitude
- Time management and problem-solving skills required
- Effective communication skills
- Valid drivers license required and safe driving record
- Minimum 2 years experience operating snow plows
- Ability to read and interpret maps
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibility

**Responsibilities**
- Daily landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care and soft-scaping
- Daily landscape construction tasks and clean up
- Preventative maintenance of tools and equipment
- Reporting any unusual conditions or any unsafe or damaged equipment/material
- Effective and efficient completion of landscape construction tasks
- Train new hires on proper and safe job methods
- Lead the work of crew members to ensure proper safety, quality and, productivity
- Conduct daily inspections of and maintenance on vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Operate power equipment including, but not limited to, lawn tractors, lawn mowers, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, sod cutters, chain saws, and snow blowers
- Respond promptly to calls for snow and ice events
- Operate vehicles and snowplough equipment in a safe, responsible, and efficient manner
- Control ice accumulation at jobsites with the safe use of de-icing agents (salt, liquids, and other de-icing chemicals)
- Hand-shovel areas as required
- Other duties as assigned

**Salary**: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Richmond Hill, ON L4C 9Z2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
- snow plough: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (preferred)
