**Position Summary**
The Catering Administrator plays a vital role in the successful execution of catering operations within our specialty grocery store. Based in the Kitchen Department, this role is responsible for handling all administrative aspects of catering orders, including customer communication, order entry, coordination with the Culinary Director, and ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about food and customer service.
**Job Structure**
This is a part-time hourly wage position. Work schedule in Monday-Friday 9:00 am-1:00 pm.
**Responsibilities**
- Guide customers through menu options, special requests, dietary needs, and order timelines.
- Accurately input and manage catering orders in our system.
- Confirm order details with customers and ensure payment processing is completed.Work closely with the Culinary Director and Kitchen team to communicate all order details, updates, and timelines.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all catering orders, including customer information, order status, and payment history.
- Generate invoices, order summaries, and pick-up/delivery instructions.
- Track catering sales and prepare weekly reports for the Culinary Director.
- Ensure all catering interactions reflect a high standard of service and professionalism.
- Handle changes, last-minute adjustments, or cancellations in coordination with the Culinary Director.
- Follow up with customers post-order for feedback and potential repeat business
**Qualifications**
**Education and Training**
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in administrative support, food service, catering, or retail preferred.
- Strong computer skills; familiarity with order management software, POS systems, and Excel.
- Comfortable working in a kitchen environment, closely with culinary and production teams.
