Assist Industrial Waste Technologists with:

- Sorting/filing incoming mail and records.
- Industrial generator/site inspections.
- Prepare reports of findings and recommendations.
- Streamline data management for reports.
- Assist with 311 industrial customer requests.
- Industrial waste escort.
- Data entry for industrial waste tracking sheets.
- Undergo industrial waste management training.
- Assist with groundwater and surface water monitoring for the Shepard Industrial Waste Facility (SIWF).
- Assist with safety site inspections of the SIWF.
- Assist with quarterly SIWF operational maintenance/cleaning.

**Qualifications**
- Enrolled in a second year degree program in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental or Chemical Engineering.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) with no more than six demerits.
- Success in this position requires excellent organization and communication skills.
- Applied critical thinking to analyze problems and innovative solutions, contributing to enhanced team problem-solving capabilities and project success.
- Leveraged digital literacy and effective communication skills to navigate diverse technologies, fostering adaptability and cultivating positive interpersonal relationships with the team.
- Ability to obtain a City of Calgary operator's permit.

**Pre-Employment Requirements**
- Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2025.
- If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).

**Pre-employment Drug Test**: An offer of employment for this position will be conditional on an applicant passing a pre-employment drug test. This test assesses for use of drugs including cannabis.
