On Side Restoration is seeking a bilingual (French/English) **Human Resources Manager** to join our national team. Reporting to the HR Vice President, this position is responsible for all HR matters. As a strategic partner the HR Manager will lead a team of HR professionals and is responsible for day-to-day HR operations within the province of Quebec.

An expert in all things Human Resources, a typical day for the HRM could include guiding Management in HR policy situations and employee matters, supporting HR Department corporate initiatives with diplomacy and discretion, and providing leadership and coaching to the HR team in alignment with our Leadership Success Factors.

- Exercise strong leadership and influence at various levels of the organization.
- Make decisions regarding hiring, performance management, career development and promotion, departure management as well as support for organizational development.
- Help influence and drive a performance-based values culture and integrate the leadership success factors within the business and the HR team.

**Main responsibilities include**:

- Lead, empower and develop a team of human resources professionals and contribute to driving change, improving employee engagement & retention, both in human resources and for the organization.
- Provide day-to-day consulting and support to managers & employees in regard to HR programs, practices, and policy interpretation.
- Support managers with sensitive employee relations matters including performance management and discipline.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and programs. Recommend changes based on internal trends and competitive benchmarking. Act as the company's expert on employee relations and compliance.
- Understand legal and regulatory compliance, with exceptional knowledge of Quebec provincial regulations to align internal practices.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to drive objectives and monitor trends to develop human resources strategies that will promote the achievement of business results.
- Monitor human resources-related indicators in your area of responsibility. Collaborate with HR leaders to implement and improve core HR functions and programs. Stay abreast of trends within the industry and HR field and make appropriate recommendations.
- Provide advice on performance management of the business units within your client groups to identify and manage employees whose performance is insufficient and develop a problem resolution strategy for employee complaints and serious employee relations issues.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team on recruitment strategies for the business units under their responsibility.
- Collaborate with the Health and Safety team to help drive the safety culture for On Side and monitor Quebec’s work-related cases.
- Actively participate in putting in place and maintaining French language requirements per provincial regulations.
- Actively contribute to special projects, where needed.
- The position may require occasional travel within Canada.
- Help drive change management, transformation, and engagement initiatives to strengthen the On Side culture and business outcomes.

**What you bring**:

- Fully bilingual in French and English. You will interact regularly with colleagues from across the country.
- At least 7 years of experience in HR positions of increasing responsibility, including at least 5 years of experience as an HR generalist.
- 2 years' experience in people management, a strong asset
- Higher education in Human Resource Management (Bachelors or Diploma), CRHA/CPHR designation is an asset (or working towards completion).
- Demonstrated ability to influence others through collaboration, direction and clear communication which is essential to success.
- Demonstrated strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Results and solution oriented, drives and influences a bias for action.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Quebec employment law and provincial regulations. CCQ an asset
- Discretion with highly confidential, personal, and sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide strategic advice and input.
- Proven ability to work with competing high priority tasks, under pressure while meeting deadlines.
