As the Breakfast Cook, you understand the importance of ensuring that the food quality and presentation of all foods prepared meets the client's standards, and the hotel company safety standards. This could you be your launch pad to advance your career in the fast growing hospitality Food & Beverage industry **Duties & Responsibilities**: - To ensure that the quality and presentation of all foods prepared & products meets the company standards as prescribed in the kitchen manual. - Ensure cleanliness in all food preparation and storage areas, and that each member of the kitchen staff is aware if the importance of the need for cleanliness - Control and secure all food stocks at arrival of delivery and keep food waste down to a minimum - To operate and clean all kitchen equipment in a safe, and in a responsible manner. - Report all defective Equipment immediately to Head Chef or first cook in charge - To communicate efficiently with the service staff to ensure a smooth service environment for our Customers - If times allows to help and assist other Cooks to get the job done in time and with quality. - To ensure that security and lock up procedures in the kitchen are followed to hotel standards. - Other duties as assigned **Qualifications**: * - Able to work from 5:30am - 1:30 pm - Previous Restaurant experience preferred - Maintain consistent food product quality, for guests satisfaction - Able to meet Hotel sanitation standards - Reduce kitchen waste, maintain positive food and watch for kitchen costs - Follow kitchen safety and security procedures closely - Maintain Kitchen and equipment well - Good Communication skills - A team player with a positive attitude **Benefits**: - Sign in bonus of $200 after 3 months probation - Employee discount rates at Coast Hotels - Other employee support programs **Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour Additional pay: - Tips **Benefits**: - Discounted or free food - Flexible schedule - On-site parking Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Holidays - Monday to Friday - Morning shift - On call - Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
