**Front Desk Associate - PT**
Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton Thunder Bay
760 Arthur Street West, ON P7E 5R9
Essential Functions:
- Carry out front desk responsibilities including, but not limited to; greeting guests, performing guest transactions, balancing reports, processing reservations and credit cards.
- Provides quality service for guests including providing pertinent information about the area.
- Utilize Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
- Run daily shift reports.
- Promptly report all incidents or occurrences of an unusual nature that could result in potential loss, damage, injury or other liability to individuals or Company property.
- Work with other departments to ensure room status is up-to-date and room repairs are done on a timely basis.
- Promote all marketing programs to the guest.
- Responsible for accurate cash control to include keeping the cash drawer at a minimum and ensuring that the shift deposits balance.
- Maintain a neat and clean appearance behind the front desk and in the lobby area.
- Implement all company policies and procedures for safety and security.
- Responsible for key control. Issues and receives both room keys and master keys.
- Deliver cribs, towels or other items to guestrooms as requested.
- Help to drive the shuttle as needed.
Job Requirements:
1. Read, write and speak English.
2. Neat, well-groomed appearance.
3. Must have a flexible schedule to include weekends and evenings.
4. Good communication skills.
5. Pleasant phone voice and excellent people skills.
5. Wear appropriate company uniform, including name tag.
6. Flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
9. Follow and submit daily checklist.
10. Reliable transportation.
Experience or Training Required:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Previous front desk experience preferred, but not necessary.
