Key Accountabilities

External Transformation Training Programs- Oversees creation and delivery of detailed training plans in conjunction with Talent Development and business partners.-
- Leads and manages training activities, collaborating with business partners to develop training content and delivery methods.- Collaborates with internal business partners to ensure training content aligns with policy and reference materials.- Researches and recommends standards, best practices, and guiding principles within the scope of the external partner transformation training portfolio.- Manages training program development and deliverables to ensure high standards of service and communication.- Oversight of external partner training packaging and presentations ensuring existing, new materials and delivery methods align with SGI brand.
External Transformation Training Programs Evaluation- Manages the monitoring and assessment of external partner training programs and offerings available to our partners through transformation.- Leads the development and implementation of a consistent approach to feedback and program evaluation including coordination and analysis of surveys.- Manages feedback loop through ongoing audit and maintenance of program content, including completing and maintaining an inventory of learning materials available to training participants.- Leads the development of reporting to track effectiveness of external training and makes recommendations for improvement based on gathered data.- Partners with business training areas on learning initiatives to establish learning outcome benchmarks, ensures alignment to business outcomes, and supports the continuous review and refinement of learning programs to ensure adoption and drive performance.- Collaborates with business training areas to develop reports and metrics to illustrate adoption/ROI on learning initiatives; utilizes data to support where learning outcomes have been met or to highlight gaps and where changes are required to learning strategies/content.
External Transformation Training Strategy- Develops, implements, maintains, and refines external partner training governance structure ensuring adherence with overall Corporate Technical Training (CTT) framework.- Collaborates in the development of a learning and development strategy that supports the achievement of transformation related to external partners.- Participates in establishing short and long-term external partner transformation training goals with a focus on continuous improvement and service excellence in alignment with corporate strategic initiatives.- Ensures strategies support key regional operational areas recognizing appropriate external partner relationship building opportunities.
People Leadership- Builds a high performing workforce by actively leading human resource activities.- Ensures development of divisional succession plans.- Builds a culture of leadership and accountability to effectively deliver on strategic and corporate strategies, ensuring integration with employee performance development and career development plans.- Drives performance through team members and is committed to leadership development across the company, supporting employees and workforce readiness through mentoring, training, and developmental opportunities.
Corporate Management- Ensures programs and policies are in alignment with corporate, strategic, and divisional strategies.- Manages risk in area of authority.- Prepares, reviews, manages and/or approves departmental/divisional budgets.- Prepares decision requests, decision and/or information items and/or SGI board items.- Ensures that the Health, Safety and Emergency Management Policy is applied in area of responsibility, including development, implementation and managing of program components specific to departmental health and safety requirements.- Makes decisions for departmental operations that are efficient, effective and in alignment with strategic direction and priorities.- Ensures department and program policies, procedures and guidelines comply with applicable federal and provincial legislation and regulations; implements and evaluates changes to legislation and regulations in area of authority.- Establishes and maintains an effective system of internal controls to support reliable financial reporting and compliance in accordance with applicable laws and regulations within the span of control and communicates the importance of internal controls to st
