PMC Logistics is a full-service, growing company specializing in ambient, refrigerated, and frozen warehouse storage and distribution services, located in Delta, BC. We currently have an immediate opening for a full-time position for **Shipping/Receiving Clerk**.
- Coordinate all aspects of the shipping and receiving process, including booking appointments, communicating with the customer and carriers, coordinating Port reservations, Bills of Lading.
- Coordinate with the trucking company to ensure timely drop off of empty containers and pick up of shipments destined for the Ports.
- Tracking status with truckers & ocean carriers and keeping clients/agents advised of status
- Ensure shipments are released in a timely manner by communicating with customs brokers and cargo is delivered in a timely manner.
- Liaise with carriers/drivers as they arrive to shipping/receiving. Assign to dock doors.
- Follow all HACCP procedures when dealing with imports/exports.
- Review all shipment documentation to confirm accuracy.
- Ensure all client special instructions are followed.
- Maintain effective relationship with clients and answer general inquiries regarding shipment status.
- Answer the telephone as necessary.
- Receive and process inventory orders and liaise with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure fulfilment.
- Assist other team members as needed to ensure timely completion of work. Communicate with dock staff.
- Other duties and tasks, as assigned.

**Desired Skills and Experience**
- Minimum 1 year related experience (preferred)
- Experience handling Ocean shipments is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written) to liaise effectively with clients, customers, staff and management.
- Exceptional organization, multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, highly motivated and adaptable.
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong computer skills, in particular knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)

**Job Type**: Full-time, permanent

**Hours**: Monday to Friday, 8 hour shift, 6 am - 2:30 pm (can be somewhat flexible on start/end time, if need be). Early start is required. Opportunities for overtime, if desired.
