**Job Opportunity**

Our established manufacturing company is adding a new position of **Accounting Manager** to our accounting and head office operations in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. For over 50 years RAM has served a wide range of industries across North America with custom-engineered and manufactured hydraulic cylinders.

**Job Requirements**

**Education**:A Canadian CPA professional accounting designation is preferred for this position; however equivalent years of relevant experience in a similar role will be considered.

**Skills**: This role requires an individual who is comfortable in a leadership role, liaising directly with upper management on a regular basis. Excellent time management skills, English written and verbal communication skills, and problem-solving abilities are required. The Accounting Manager must be a detail oriented individual, familiar with tax regulations, and able to effectively communicate with others on various matters as required (employees, departments, customers, vendors etc.)

**Job Overview**

**Duties**: Primary responsibilities include:

- managing all department responsibilities, including direct supervision of department personnel;
- delegating, monitoring and verifying accounting work and reporting, including oversight of the department structure, employee mix and individual duties;
- ensuring all monthly financial reporting is achieved on a timely, consistent, and accurate basis;
- overseeing tax filing requirements, annual budget preparation, and year-end reporting with external accountants

The Accounting Manager will routinely review and solve reconciling items through research and adjustments as required by payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and the general ledger as required. They will update subledgers, prepare statements, and review for variances to either explain and/or correct the books. Development of standard operating procedures and continuous improvement initiatives will be encouraged to build consistent workflow, a strong accounting team and better department efficiencies.
