This is a Fieldbased Role. Position Summary The Regional Account Manager (RAM) is the key Disease, and Product territory sales leader who supports commercial goals and objectives. The RAMs primary responsibility is to support three critical Canadian Commercial Strategic Imperatives: identifying patients, generating demand and ensuring appropriate utilization with treating physicians. The RAM will support these strategic imperatives through disease, and Product education of Health Care Providers within their territory.The RAM will impact territory performance by collaborating with the Assoc.
Director of Sales and other key internal stakeholders to develop and execute a territory business plan aimed at surpassing key business metrics. Principal ResponsibilitiesConsistently achieve or exceed sales objectives in assigned territory Provide a high level of customer service to all key stakeholders Develop and maintain strong indepth disease, diagnostic and product knowledge leading to effective education of, and a call to action for, key stakeholdersSuccessfully seek out, qualify and progress leads, as appropriate, to serve more patients Develop insightsbased account plan plans for all top accounts/treatment centres. Account plans include key decision maker prioritization and indepth situational analysis i.e. SWOT, barriers and drivers, patient journey.
Set clear strategic objectives (i.e. listing in hospitals/SOP inclusion, treatment experience) and develop account winwin value propositions (e.g. commercial events) based on regional situational analysis and customer insights Appropriately utilize all marketing tools and execute local promotional activities and programs Selfdependent planning, organization and execution of multiple digital activities for optimal customer experience and engagement eg eMail, virtual promotional meetings and customer engagement, innovation tools that increase the number of touch points with our customersAdminCreate, present and maintain strategically targeted business plans (HCP and Diagnostic) that reflect an indepth understanding of local market forces impacting product sales Track activities and submit reports on sales activities accurately & ontime Efficiently manage time, CRM tool, resources and workload CollaborationLead development and implementation of customerfocused and patientcentered tactics and activities within the territory in crossfunctional partnership with internal stakeholders and teams, such as Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Patient Advocacy, to address challenges in the market in order to help more patients. Proactively interact with the internal crossfunctional team to maximize resources for their territoryCollaborate with Medical and Marketing to identify and develop Plans of Action for prioritized KOLs within territory (MD, RN, diagnostic) The RAM will comply with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Alexion activities in general and this role in particularOther responsibilities that are requested from time to time QualificationsDocumented track record for delivering consistent Toptier sales results Proven ability to gain consistent access & develop strong, professional relationships for scientific exchange and promotion with healthcare providers in community and academic centers Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and in an interdependent, teamoriented environment on a consistent basis 3+ years fieldbased experience in rare disease biotechnology environment preferred Relevant market knowledge preferredExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenInfluential presentation style with demonstrated ability to uncover and address customer needs and effectively manage customer concerns and questionsSelfmotivated with a sense of urgency, wellorganized, with a collaborative approach to problemsolvingAbility to establish rapport and build relationships with a diverse customer base Strong business, analytical and clinical acumenValid drivers license and clean driving recordAbility to travel within territory on a regular basis which will include frequent overnight and weekend travel Should have ability to attend, understand and participate in International meetings conducted in English.Education Bachelors degree (BSc is preferable)Advanced Degrees preferred
