Job Summary
This position will coordinate the allocation of desk spaces and computer hardware for the Environment Economics Research Unit in MCML 192. They will coordinate software updates and purchases, as well as office supplies. This position is responsible for the maintenance of the Environment Economics Research Unit website:

Organizational Status
Reports to the Principal Investigator (Dr. Frederik Noack) and work in a UBC research team consisting of professors, post doctoral fellows, technical staff, and graduate and undergraduate students.

Work Performed
- Keep track of and allocate computer hardware and desk space in coordination with the Principal Investigator (PI).
- Coordinate software licenses and computer program purchases for the Environment Economics Research Unit.
- Responsible for ordering office supplies in coordination with the PI.

Consequence of Error/Judgement

Work is performed in accordance with established procedures and well-defined standard practices but is expected to exercise initiative and judgment. Failure in performing duties could lead to inefficiencies in the operations of the Faculty. Errors in judgment could cause hardship, financial loss or affect the integrity and reputation of the Faculty and University.

Supervised by the Principal Investigator, Dr. Frederik Noack.

Minimum Qualifications
High school graduation, some additional training in a related field and a minimum two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Willingness to respect diverse perspectives, including perspectives in conflict with one’s own
- Demonstrates a commitment to enhancing one’s own awareness, knowledge, and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications
- Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience with website maintenance.
- Excellent organizational skills.
