Adventure Construction, part of the Terus Construction Group., is seeking a Loader Operator in Prince Rupert at our Quarry Operation. Terus Construction Ltd. is a leader in the construction industry in British Columbia and the Yukon Territory.

**Purpose**:
Operates front end loader, excavates and loads materials to and from stockpiles. Loads truck and helps crusher crew with daily activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Loads material from stockpiles to appropriate piles and trucks.
- Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate, and refill the equipment as necessary
- Maneuver heavy equipment into loading and unloading positions
- Participate, accept and adopt the principles described in the company safety program
- Other duties as required

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years crushing operational experience (Aggregate Industry)
- Mechanically inclined with knowledge of jaw and cone crushers as well as screening equipment.
- Demonstrate a high attention to detail, be extremely organized, ability to multi-task, self-motivated.
- Capable of working independently, promote a positive and safe work environment working collaboratively with team members & other management in the field in a physically demanding and fast paced work environment.
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as lubricating, belt splicing, cleaning, etc.
- Valid class 5 driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to lift 50lbs or more, ability to work in extreme weather conditions, confined space & heights, and possess the required PPE and steel-toed work shoes.
- First Aid & WHMIS certificates are considered and asset.
- Successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

**Terms of Employment**:
Permanent - full time (Overtime, week-ends, days & nights) and requires on call availability as business
