**Salary**: $25-35/hour (depending on experience; will cover travel and living expenses if doing travelling-based work)

Algoma Ecohome Inc. (AEI) serves as a one-stop-shop for all things energy efficiency in Ontario. With several years in the energy efficiency and conservation field, we are determined to help individuals and groups improve their comfort levels, lower overall energy consumption, and reduce total green house gas emissions. We are continuously growing and are seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to join our team as a Field and Administrative Assistant.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in both the field and office environments, contributing to our mission of promoting energy efficiency and sustainability. The role involves spending approximately 50% of the time assisting an Energy Advisor in conducting energy assessments on-site and the other 50% performing administrative tasks and supporting back-office operations. **Responsibilities**:

- Accompany the Energy Advisor to various sites to perform energy assessments for residential and commercial properties.
- Assist in collecting data on energy usage, conducting energy audits, and identifying potential areas for improvement.
- Assist in setting up testing equipment and performing measurements of the home.
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating logistics for on-site assessments.
- Prepare assessment reports, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Input data, update records, and maintain the database.
- Assist with the preparation of specific documentation.
- Respond to inquiries and provide information to clients regarding energy efficiency programs and services.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to promote energy conservation initiatives through efficiencies, technological understanding, etc.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in energy management or related fields is a plus.
- Some general labour/renovation experience and knowledge preferred, and the ability to work with hand and power tools will be considered an asset.
- Experience or interest in the energy sector an asset, especially basic building science and energy efficiency principles.
- Although not required, a desire or interest in becoming a Registered Energy Advisor (REA)
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, data entry software, and other tools to assist with the streamlining of operations.
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze data accurately.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various sites for assessments.

- Professional attitude with an attention to detail, inquisitive, strong organizational and planning skills, and is able to time manage and prioritize multiple projects at one time.
- Ability to work in different environmental conditions/spaces.
- Standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and ladder use.
