**Summary**:
The process flow from final formulation to final product involves several steps, a significant percentage of which are the responsibility of this position. The product creation functions include organizing and updating specification forms and developing, creating and critically reviewing packaging copies to verify all information is compliant with Metro and government regulations.

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Track progress of pack copies & specifications through the development stage of corporate brand products.
- Follow up with vendors when they fail to meet specific timelines or when deviations to policy/regulation are identified.
- Create new/revised product pack copies which will be used by the design, packaging and regulatory departments to create packaging.
- Validate information provided by vendors against Metro & regulatory requirements.
- Liaise between Metro & vendors to verify all information is accurate and received in a timely manner.
- Validate new specifications are accurate and comply with Metro’s requirements, request corrections & incorporate changes received from vendors.
- Support Quality Assurance Coordinator during vacation periods.
- In conjunction with the Regulatory Manager and Regulatory Supervisor, validate that specifications are compliant with current regulatory requirements.
- Liaise between vendors & quality assurance regarding corrections to specifications, and ensure they are compliant with regulatory & Metro policies.
- Update product specifications to reflect information on final product packaging.
- Manage special regulatory projects as assigned by the Regulatory Manager, Regulatory Supervisor or Sr. Director, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in nutrition, food science or a related discipline
- Relevant work experience in a regulatory role would be an asset
- Intermediate computer skills required, with an emphasis on Excel and Word
- Knowledge of SAP an asset
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative policies and procedures
- English/French Bilingual an asset
