Position will be based out of our Acheson, AB location.
**Responsibilities**
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment
- Diagnose faults and malfunctions to determine extent of repair required
- Complete repairs and/or maintenance on all company equipment ( tracked equipment, rubber tired equipment, earth moving equipment etc.)
- Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated, and maintained
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
- Liaises with Shop Supervisor regarding needed repairs
- Orders materials/parts as required
- Responsible for ensuring that all work is complete in a safe and efficient manner
- Inputs data from all time sheets, materials, and equipment information for purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Performs work effectively and safely in shops or outdoor construction site environments
- Actively supports safety culture by operating equipment in a safe manner, follows Morgan’s safe work procedures, follows Morgan’s PPE policies and practices and reports all near misses and/or incidents to management
**Qualifications**
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate is required, with Red Seal endorsement. Own service truck is required.
- 5+ years’ of both field and shop experience is required
- Demonstrates good judgment and think problems through where applicable, and suggests improvements on job quality
**Requirements**:
- Must have (or be willing and able to obtain) CSTS-09 or CSO, Intermediate First Aid, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance Level 2 or Equivalent, Intermediate Wildlife
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with clean 3 year drivers abstract is required
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Alcohol, Drug and fit to work testing is a pre-employment requirement.
**Working Conditions**:

- Expect to handle noise and vibrations on the job.
- Strength and stamina for working with heavy equipment and in cramped or awkward positions
**Schedule**:
- Must be able to work up to 12 hours a day.
- Must be able to work day or night shifts.
Wage rate is $50-55 based on experience.
