Quality Inspector

**Job Purpose**
- Responsible for ensuring a product or service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assists the Quality Assurance Manager in the day to day activities of the quality department
- Development, implementation, maintenance and enforcement of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
- Set standards and monitor procedures to ensure food safety at all stages of the operation including receiving, packaging and shipping
- Assist in the development, maintenance and enforcement of all Quality/food safety programs
- Oversee all production lines from a quality point of view
- Supervise and instruct all Line Inspectors
- Acting Quality Assurance Manager when Quality Assurance Manager is not on site or available by phone
- Review all documentation for accuracy
- Assist Quality Assurance Manager in the training of all new employees and refreshers for existing staff in all areas of the quality program
- Lab analysis for sanitation and allergen control
- Manage deviation and corrective actions for HACCP Program
- Training: on all Quality SOP’s, HACCP, GMP, Allergens, Food Security, Warehouse sanitation, Audit training, WHMIS
**Required Skills/Experience**
- College Diploma in Quality Control Required
- Must be able to write and communicate in English
- 2-5 years in the food processing industry
- HACCP experience and GMP experience
- Food safety experience
- Bakery, Peanut Free and or pharmaceutical experience and asset
- Research capabilities, develop and use of documents
- Oral communication, problem solving
Calculations and data analysis
**Physical Requirements**
- Requires to stand for an extended period of time
- Work along with other fellow workers
