**Manager, Total Health and Wellness**

**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Disability Case Management**
- Develop, implement, and manage a Canada-wide disability management program.
- Oversee both short
- and long-term disability claims to ensure efficient processes and compliance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to facilitate seamless disability case management.
- Analyze trends and recommend program enhancements.

**Return-to-Work (RTW) Programs**
- Lead the design and execution of national return-to-work programs for employees transitioning from disability leave.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurers, and local management to ensure compliance and a smooth return to work.
- Promote program participation and safe, timely reintegration of employees.

**Health and Wellness Initiatives**
- Design and deliver impactful health and wellness programs to address physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
- Champion initiatives such as stress management, lifestyle coaching, and mental health awareness campaigns.

**Compliance and Legal Requirements**
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local disability regulations, including AODA and Human Rights legislation.
- Proactively address compliance gaps and claim disputes.
- Maintain accurate and confidential disability records.

**Communication, Training, and Collaboration**
- Provide ongoing guidance and training to managers and teams on disability management and wellness programs.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders, including insurance carriers, healthcare providers, and occupational health experts, to build impactful relationships.

**Reporting and Analytics**
- Continuously improve disability case reporting and conduct audits for accuracy and compliance.
- Use data insights to enhance program effectiveness.

**Experience**: Required
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with employees across all organizational levels
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen ability to manage complex cases.
- Strong understanding of legislation and best practices in disability and health management.
- 8 - 10 years: Disability case management or employee wellness programs.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, physiotherapy, or a related field.

Preferred
- Experience in the mining or heavy industrial sector
