**_ Minimum Qualifications:_**
- Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum one - two years of customer service/office administration related experience.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Internet, financial systems and social media platforms.
- Excellent organizational, filing, keyboarding and data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Proven exceptional customer service skills, dealing with in-person, phone and electronic exchanges.
- Proven excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Experience with cash handling (processing cash transactions and preparing bank deposits) and Point of Sale programs.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment and independently with a high degree of professionalism while, at times, working under pressure in challenging situations.
- Demonstrated tact and diplomacy skills and the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
- Demonstrated safe work practices.
- Acceptable Police Records Check.

**_Assets:_**
- Experience as a live-chat agent on a web-based platform.
- Experience with a multi-line phone system and transferring calls.
- Experience in a municipal setting.
- Experience with Great Plains (GP), Canoe, MESH, City View, Active or Passport.
- Experience with front line customer service.

**_Duties_**
- Serve as Live-Chat Agent for the County of Brant’s website from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.; providing phone and in-person customer service back-up as available until 4:30 p.m., and administrative support to several departments.
- Act as a general ambassador for the County of Brant, aiding customers accessing a wide range of municipal services.
- Redirect inquires of a more complex nature to the appropriate department for technical expertise to ensure customer satisfaction and communicate all appropriate information to said departments.
- Issuing dog licenses and burial permits and the sale of blue boxes and composters, etc.
- Open sort, date-stamp and distribute mail, including registered mail, outside couriers and interoffice courier.
- Assist residents who do not have technology systems to complete online forms and payment.
- Assist with program registrations as needed.
- Administrative support to various departments as needed (mailings, data entry, filing, sorting).
- Maintain call logs for statistical purposes.
- To operate a point of sale terminal and as needed accept cash, cheque, credit and debit payments, and all other revenues received; post to the accounting system; prepares batch postings for postdated cheques and bank deposits and use the Corporate tax system daily.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of County services, service issues, department/division structures and responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Salary**:$27.83 to $32.56 per hour **(Job Grade 2 - Under Review) **14 - 35 hours per week

**Hours of Work**: Primarily will be scheduled Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with the occasional need for coverage at other locations or during regular office hours.
