Solo Coordinator

We are currently seeking a full-time SOLO Coordinator in the SOLO (Supported Independent Living) program. The role of the SOLO Coordinator is to provide youth-centered training and support and teach the life skills necessary for successful independent living. General Information about the SOLO Program The intent of the SOLO program is to provide the support necessary for youth to learn and practice the skills necessary to be successful members of our community. The goals and tasks that youth are typically working to accomplish while in the program include securing safe and stable housing, maintaining a meaningful day program (i.e. work or school); mastering of the various living skills needed for living independently (i.e. money management, cooking, building healthy relationships, goal attainment, self-care), and transitioning out of Children and Family Services. Keen desire to assist youth in accomplishing their goals and collaboration with them to become successful, self-sufficient adults in our community. Ability to establish positive working relationships with youth. Degree or Diploma in the Human Services field and a minimum 2-years of relevant experience working with youth and/or Children and Family Services. Knowledge and experience in accessing community resources. Able to work independently and in a team context. Strong computer, writing and organizational skills. Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Able to be part of the program's on-call rotation (one week on-call every 6 to 8 weeks) A driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle with $2 million liability insurance, as well as three years with no "at fault" claims on your auto insurance. Clear and current Criminal Records Check and Children’s Services Check. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum 2 doses) Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs Ability to physically interact with youth during recreation outings, etc. Salary, Holidays, Benefits: The annual salary range for this position is $52,035 increasing to $53, 235 after 3-month probationary period.
