**Responsibilities**:
**When your actions lead to success**:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Scheduler is responsible for planning and preparing production schedules for print, extrusion, lamination, slitting and bag departments. Working with all levels of supervision, graphics and customer service departments to ensure trials, outages, shutdowns and maintenance are properly, thoroughly, and safely planned and implemented by developing the sequence and lead time to meet the client forecasted schedule. Additionally, the Scheduler is responsible for working with designated procurement staff to ensure that any necessary materials and supplies are available to facilitate efficient and effective work schedules.

**You will**:

- Develop and maintain production schedules based on equipment, labor, and raw material availability; maximize machine and labor utilization.
- Review, update and schedule new orders for production into GlobeTek for all cost centers.
- Forecast which converting machines need to run each day or week to meet delivery targets.
- Assess shortfalls during production and develop action plans to fulfill requirements.
- Prepare, update, and post daily production schedules for all cost centers.
- Communicate schedules to production supervisors and warehouse team on changes for required shipments.
- Organize and facilitate meetings with supervisors and operators to optimize production schedules and sequencing of jobs as needed.
- Analyze workflow and direct new orders into timeslots which optimize equipment time.
- Review open production orders and update status as required.
- Review WIP status and coordinate a plan or act to re-use, reject, or process forward.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and track cost center backlogs.
- Advise lead times to sales and customer service based on production load and available capacity.
- Forecast production constraints, load production plans, and identify corrective actions such as overtime, outsourcing, or expediting.
- Evaluate and revise Material Requirement Plans and other purchase order release documents to learn about availability, shipment status, and releases of raw materials.
- Provide the Purchaser with material requisitions and delivery schedules.
- Liaise with Customer Service, Graphics and Sales to learn more about order release times and quantities and the status of art files for planning/scheduling.
- Achieve target KPIs: service levels (On-Time In-Full delivery)
- Support and maintain activities related to Food Safety Management.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
**When your expertise drives us**:

- Post-secondary education in supply chain management, business management, or related field is preferred.
- Experience working as a production planner considered a strong asset. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and related software considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management skills including ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
- Shows initiative, accountability, and ownership of work with a willingness to learn.
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
