Logistics Administrator

Sulzer Chemtech Canada is a part of an international organization that has been operating in Edmonton since 2007, offering engineering services and support to the oil and gas industry. We are seeking a Logistics Administrator to join our office team.
The Logistics Administrator plays a critical role interacting closely with employees; making arrangements for individual projects and providing support to Human Resources, as needed.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assists in the mobilization of field crew for various field projects including booking accommodations, vehicles, flights, preparing travel schedules and ensuring clear communication of logistics to Human Resources.
- Responsible for completion of timely and accurate payroll data entry for field employees.
- Provides travel arrangements for office staff and visitors.
- Attends phone calls and redirects requests to respective where appropriate while prioritizing tasks.
- Responsible for other general administrative duties including activities like ordering office supplies, maintaining filing systems, and answering general inquiries from field crew, other staff members and potential applicants.
**Required Skills and Abilities**:
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills are critical, as required to communicate with crew members, field supervisors and other office staff.
- Efficient time-management skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
**Education and Experience**
- Post secondary education from any discipline, considered an asset
- Office work experience, required.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel and Word)
**Schedule**:
- 8 hour shift
- Overtime will be required during busy periods
**Experience**:
- Administrative assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Experience administrating logistics for employees: 1 year (preferred)
**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
