Ancaster, Canada Fairway Electrical Fairway Utilities Full time

Fairway Electrical has been successfully servicing the Commercial, Industrial, Residential, and Utility Electrical Contractor sectors for nearly 30 years. We are currently looking to fulfill a Health and Safety & Human Resources Coordinator position to join our team in Ancaster, ON. This position is for a contract period of 10 months with a potential for extension.

**Duties**
- Researching, coordinating, and executing health and safety programs, policies, procedures, and training.
- Assist with developing and implementing policies, practices, and procedures.
- Participating in WSIB Safety Excellence Program.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers, employees and JHSC members.
- Assist with developing job hazard analysis and project safety plans.
- Conduct periodic site inspections.
- Assist with incident/accident reporting, investigations, and enforcement.
- Process claims and coordinates the return-to-work process.
- Organize and facilitate training sessions for employees.
- Attend and co-chair JH&S Committee Meetings. Prepare agendas and minutes recommendations. Coordinate follow-up activities.
- Ensure compliance is up to date with third-party contractor compliance software (ISNetworld, ContractorCheck, Contractor Compliance, Cognibox, Complyworks)
- Participate in the process of hiring new employees.
- Work with management to ensure compliance with insurance policies.
- Complete additional assignments and responsibilities as requested by Senior Management.

**Requirements**:

- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize.
- Must be a highly motivated, team-oriented individual with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and under pressure.
- Preference will be given to applicants that can demonstrate relevant experience.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
