**Responsibilities**
- Ensure accurate and timely bi-weekly and semi-monthly multi-state payroll processing for US and Canada, including base pay, stock compensation, payroll taxes, 401(k), wage garnishments, and benefits, using ADP and Workday.
- Conduct over 5 entities' payroll reconciliations and accruals within Day 2 of month-end close, consistently achieving zero-balance reconciliations for precise financial reporting.
- Oversee payroll-related projects like year-end preparation, reviewing W-2s, T-4s, and RL-1s, maintaining payroll documentation, resolving tax issues, and supporting audits to ensure SOX compliance.
- Collaborate with People Technology for process improvement, streamlining workflows through system integration with Workday for enhanced operational efficiency.
- Manage registrations for new state and province tax jurisdictions, monitor agency notices, and resolve tax issues for compliance.
- Execute ROEs in line with Canadian regulations, manage RRSP funding, and handle remittances with Canadian tax agencies for timely and accurate tax compliance.
- Partner strategically with HR to enhance employee experience and foster a positive work environment.
- Perform other payroll functions to ensure accurate and timely employee payment.
**Required Qualifications**
- 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably with exposure to both US and Canadian systems.
- Experienced in Workday and ADP payroll products.
- Knowledgeable of benefits administration
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
