**Manager of Procurement**:
**Regular Full-Time**

Do you have experience with the public sector budget approval processes as well as with strategic planning as it relates to public sector procurement management practices? If so, this might be the opportunity for you The District of Squamish is seeking a Manager of Procurement to join our team, who is a team leader, a risk advisor, and a social procurement visionary.

**_Key Responsibilities:_**
- Prepares and oversees competitive bidding processes; including preparation of Tenders, RFPs, RFQ’s, or other competitive processes and necessary contract documentation in consultation with other departments. Ensures those processes are completed in full conformance with all applicable laws, trade agreements, District’s Procurement Policy (including Social Procurement policies) and, achieves accurate bidding processes at competitive prices.
- Develops, reviews and recommends policies, processes and systems to maintain best practices to meet the needs of all departments.
- Acts as the strategic procurement resource to District staff.
- Ensures that all corporate capital assets and infrastructure are maintained to optimize life cycle costs and minimize risks, and ensures that there are long term financial strategies in place for their end of life replacement.
- Develops and tracks key performance indicators to measure procurement related performance.
