Linc Intake/program Coordinator

**Purpose**
The LINC Intake Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the effective delivery of the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program. Reporting to the LINC Senior Manager or LINC Program Manager, the LINC Intake Coordinator is responsible for coordinating course registration, managing client referrals and waitlists, processing student intakes, responding to client inquiries and facilitating the enrollment of eligible clients into appropriate language classes. This role ensures a smooth and efficient intake process while providing excellent service to newcomers accessing language support.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Do all aspects of the administrative tasks including placing and orienting students into appropriate LINC classes based on their Canadian Language Benchmarks; maintains student records; address student concerns and direct them to appropriate resources; schedule guest speakers; conduct course evaluations; manage device lending library for online students and coordinate with program volunteers and collect relating data related to volunteer program support
- Assist permanent residents with referral to language and settlement services inhouse as well as with external partners
- Maintain a clean, organized and presentable reception area to create a professional and welcoming atmosphere
- Photocopy, prepare required LINC forms, and post/distribute notices and memos to LINC staff and students
- Maintain basic security by locking all classrooms and computer labs, monitoring the flow of people through reception and parking lot, registering visitors, and watching out for any suspicious activities at reception
- Contribute to the LINC team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Perform other job-related duties as requested by the supervisor
