LINC Administrative Assistant (Part-Time, Contract)

End Date: March 31, 2026

**Salary**: $18.00/hr

What qualifications are we looking for?
- ESL/LINC experience an asset
- Awareness of and empathy for issues relevant to new Canadians
- Effective organizational and administrative skills
- Current knowledge of LINC curriculum and resources is an asset
- CLB knowledge an asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Awareness of and empathy for issues facing new Canadians
- Computer skills in data base management
- Committed to providing quality service to program participants and the YMCA
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificated within the last 12 months from an approved AB OHS provider. Asset if certification is issued by one of the following five Canadian organizations: Canadian Red Cross, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society, St John's Ambulance and/or Canadian Ski Patrol.
- Able to produce evidence of a clear security clearance

What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?

The LINC Administrative Assistant will:

- Maintain accurate individual student records
- Assist with YMCA and Federal government databases
- Keep ILVARC (Immigrant Language Vocational Assessment and Referral Centre) informed of seat availability on a weekly basis
- Manage inventory of current teaching resources
- Create letters for students (attendance, personal requests, etc.)
- Posting resources for staff on YConnect (YMCA’s internal Website)
- Assist in the coordination of field trips, guest speakers and computer lab usage
- Assist with evaluating students on a regular basis, and assist with EXIT testing to determine LINC level
- Various other duties as required
