The Alberta Crown Prosecution Service Division at the Ministry of Justice is looking for a highly motivated individual to be a part of their team

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a highly motived receptionist in their in the Calgary Crown Prosecutors’ Office to provide administrative support for the prosecution of criminal and provincial offences, including but not limited to the _Criminal Code of Canada _and the _Traffic Safety Act_.

Reporting to the Disclosure Unit Supervisor, the Receptionist plays a key role in supporting the operations of the Crown office. This position is essential to ensuring prosecutors are well-prepared for court proceedings. Responsibilities include processing incoming and outgoing mail, photocopying and document handling, and providing other administrative services that are required to ensure that branch goals and objectives are met.

This is a public facing role and requires strong communication skills and the ability to remain professional when dealing with difficult situations.

**The primary responsibilities for the Receptionist include, but are not limited to**:

- Providing central services support including a centralized mail distribution/disclosure pick-up centre at the Calgary Crown Prosecutors’ Office.
- Providing administrative support to Crown Prosecutors and client services to approximately 130 staff members, Provincial Court, and General Public.
- Using tools such as Word, Outlook, Prosecutor Information System Manager (PRISM), Justice On-Line Information Network (JOIN), e-Crim and other resources as required.
- Working in a high volume, demanding environment and managing competing priorities in tight timelines.
- Maintaining professionalism when working with Crown Prosecutors, Defense Counsel or the General Public.

- Post-secondary Legal Assistant diploma or a related discipline.
