**JOB SUMMARY**

Supervise operations for our Cambridge/Brantford territory providing quality and timely service for Clintar Commercial Outdoor customers. This includes training and supervision of staff, contributing to the planning and execution of all work requirements and budgets, providing quality control through site visits, and working to maximize the potential of the staff and equipment resources available.

**RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES**

- Coordinate and supervise**day-to-day field operations year-round.
- Help prepare, assist and monitor budgets for maintenance, construction, and snow.
- Direct all daily activities of supervisors, landscape maintenance crews and all winter staff.
- Responsible for short-term planning (day-to-day) and keeping management aware of decisions being made.
- Assist with estimating and planning for all manpower and equipment needs and provide information for production plans to meet production objectives by reviewing records, customer orders, and weather forecasts to determine required activities.
- Complete all necessary reports, records and cost tracking.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage to vehicles/equipment.
- Report defective material and report those and any unusual situations to ownership.
- Able to perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning daily.
- Set priorities for preventative maintenance work orders, maintenance requisitions and scheduled work.
- Maintain adequate supplies and equipment for the crew.
- Assist in the orientation and training of staff.
- Assign duties and coordinate and oversee assignments, special projects, and maintenance functions (i.e., planting, fertilizing, pest/weed control, landscaping, snow removal, salting etc.)
- Assist in monitoring and evaluating employees’ performance, to detect inefficient or unsafe work procedures or problems, initiating corrective action as necessary.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and legally compliant workplace that adheres to all company policies and procedures and identify, investigate, correct and document potential environmental and safety problems.

**Customer Retention**

? Ensure diplomacy concerning customer service-related issues.

? Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; and making recommendations to management.

? Collaborate with ownership to identify ways to ensure a desirable customer retention level.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES TO PREFORM THIS ROLE**

? Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.

? Ability to write reports and business correspondence (including proposals).

? Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees in the organization.

? Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of customers service situations.

? Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

? Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
