For newcomers, learning how to navigate the transit system is a crucial component in integrating and settling in Canada.

The Newcomer ETS Bus Tour volunteer will accompany newcomers on public transportation to a variety of potential destination including:

- Catholic Social Services Immigration and Settlement Service Edmonton office (8212-118 ave)
- various grocery stores in the city

**Desired skills for this volunteer role includes the following**:

- Good knowledge and navigational skills with respect to public transport and ETS
- Proficient technology skills in google maps and website navigation
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Patience, compassion, and respect for other cultures
- Fluency in English
- Second language skills in: Arabic, Somali, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Tigrinya, Dari, Pashto, French, Spanish, Rohingya, Oromo, (preferred).
- Flexibility to volunteer on weekday mornings required (2-3 hours)
